Trombone

Meet Your Instructor
My name is Taylor Torres, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Music in Performance at Indiana University Bloomington. I earned my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas in May 2025, following a comprehensive five-year period of both performing and teaching across the country.
I have had the honor of participating in four International Trombone Festivals, where I not only performed but also served as a student-teacher at the 2022 ITF hosted at UCA. Additionally, I gained significant experience at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, where I worked as a camp counselor at the Bernstein Camp. During my time at Blue Lake, I taught sectionals, conducted one-on-one lessons, and performed in numerous ensembles, including orchestras, wind ensembles, big bands, and brass quintets. Over two months, I performed in 21 concerts and had the privilege of instructing over 50 trombonists.
Outside of Blue Lake, I completed a student teaching placement at Conway High School under the mentorship of Mrs. Nikki Cook, during which our Symphonic Band earned first place at the state contest. I have also contributed to various marching band camps and served as both the Trombone Section Leader and Drum Major for the UCA Bear Marching Band over the course of my undergraduate studies.
